Do you find it difficult to verbalise your thoughts and emotions even when feeling overwhelmed?
I recently attended a virtual facilitation organised by Vannessa– a program meant to help you understand yourself and achieve your goals.
We started the session with a 5 minute pause– With music playing in the background, it was a good opportunity to not be concerned with the other things of the world, concerns, but appreciate the music during this time.
Then some pictures were shown, and participants were asked to choose a picture they identified with , and we started sharing which aspects of the picture we identified with.
Without revealing too much of the rest of the session, I can only say that it was a good opportunity to reflect upon our thoughts, the root cause of what lies beneath, and come up with an actionable plan on what to do moving forward.
What I appreciated was that Vannessa emphasised that there are no wrong thoughts/opinions, and not to apologise before you even speak!
It was truly a lovely time that we got to pause what’s going on in our lives, and be able to reflect — which is something that I was reminded to do more of!!
